On a night when the stars were all indoors in the Hudson Valley the Hype made a statement against the Southern Division powerhouse Washington Madness. With a legendary coaching staff consisting of James Ryans and Wes Mathews Sr. The Hype jumped out to an early ten point lead and never looked back leaving the Madness with a (23) point deficit when the 4th quarter came to close. “I think I was more nervous about this game than the players”, expressed owner Allen Pickett. “Losing two starters in one week and obtaining three new players two days before the game with no practice usually spells trouble for the best teams. I have to thank Coach Ryans and especially Mr. Mathews for making a guest appearance. Only in the Hudson Valley are you going to find this level of athletes and professionals all in one place and on one team.”

The Hype reinforced their starting line-up with a pair of Nick’s, Carter and Leon which accounted for (33) of the Hype’s points. Keyode Ayeni fresh from the D-league had a game high (28) scoring from all over the floor. Rookie Michael McNair had the best game of his professional career with a season high ten points. The Hudson Valley Hype are currently top in their division and take on the NY Jaguars on their home court on Saturday February 11th.
