Baltimore Starz Capture WEBA Crown

03/29/08 - The Baltimore Starz put the final chapter on their initial WEBA season with a title-clinching victory over the Harrisburg Lady Horizon, 90 - 76, Saturday at Towson (MD) Catholic High School.

Jewel Clark-Adams, with 33 points, and B.J. Banjo, with 23, led the victors who finished the season with a 7-1 record.

The Harrisburg Lady Horizon’s double scoring punch of Sasha Leverentz-Palmer’s 25 points and Damita Bullock’s 24 points was not enough to overcome the five players in double digits for the Starz. The league defending champions Lady Horizon finished the season with a 7-3 record. All of Harrisburg’s defeats in 2008 came at the hands of the League Champion, Baltimore Starz.
